South Norwood Resident Association was formed in the 1980s and has been responsible for fantastic initiatives working in partnership with other organisations such as the Spring Lane Residents Association and the Beckenham Residents Association.
Initiatives have included the transformation of an old brickworks to South Norwood Country Park.
South Norwood is recognised as the overarching community association for South Norwood and works with local organisations to campaign for improvement in the area.
It aims to empower local residents and businesses to help themselves by providing advice and support.
As a residents association it is non-political and has no political allegiances. It aims to lobby elected representatives to ensure they are working in the best interests of the community.
It also seeks to be a watchdog with regards to the services we receive from Croydon Council.
